Parks Master Plan

On January 20th, 2020 Council approved the Parks and Recreation Department to go into a contract with consulting company Burditt Consulting LLC out of Conroe to develop a comprehensive Parks Master Plan.

On February 17th, 2020 Council approved a contract between the City of Jersey Village and Burditt Consulting LLC to begin the Parks Master Planning process. 

A Parks Master Plan is essential to any parks and recreation department as a guiding document for development and use of park land. The Parks Master Plan will guide the improvement of current park land, the possible acquisition of new park land, and how we can create programs and events tailored around our community.  

On March 15, 2021 Council approved the Parks Master Plan document.  You can find the document listed on our plans and studies page here. 

Moving forward we will continue to gather community input, deliberate with staff, council, and the parks and recreation advisory board regarding specific projects we plan to implement here in the City of Jersey Village.  Keep an eye out for surveys regarding programs, projects, and events as well as our monthly advisory meeting agendas as they may contain information on the Parks Master Plan and its implementation.
