Every year since 2019, Jersey Village celebrates Texas Arbor Day on the first Friday in November. Trees are of utmost importance! They clean air and water, slow climate change, ease poverty and hunger, prevent species loss, and feed the human soul. All we need to do is plant and care for them.
This year, we experienced significant tree damage and loss due to Hurricane Beryl and the following tornado that went through Jersey Village. During the 2024 Arbor Day weekend, we were able to plant over 80 trees with the help of our staff and volunteers!
A big thank you to Trees for Houston and Johnson Services for donating trees!!
Planting the Trees
We have trees available to the public for FREE at JV Farmers Markets on 11/3 and 11/17. Species are mostly Live Oak and Loblolly Pine.
