When you call 911 in Jersey Village, you will be speaking with the most talented dispatchers in the area. The division has 8 full time and 2 part time dispatchers who are responsible for dispatching both Fire and Police emergency calls around the clock. The job of a dispatcher requires incredible skill in multitasking.
Our dispatchers are all licensed through TCOLE (Texas Commission on Law Enforcement) and are certified in Emergency Medical and Fire Dispatching through Priority Dispatch Systems.
The dispatcher must be able to handle multiple projects at one time. Housed in our Police Department, the dispatcher must be able to use a personal computer, answer the radio, answer the business telephones, answer the 911 phones, monitor prisoners when needed, and be able to remember what policies and procedures they must follow that apply to each of these tasks.
The Communications Division is lead by Communications Supervisor
Rayne Herzog. Please email her if you have any questions or concerns.
