Jersey Village Police Department Recognized as Accredited Agency by the Texas Police Chiefs Association
04/16/2025

The City of Jersey Village is proud to announce that the Jersey Village Police Department has been officially recognized as an Accredited Agency by the Texas Police Chiefs Association (TPCA).

At the March 2025 meeting of the Jersey Village City Council, Chief Jeffrey Bert of Tomball formally presented Chief Danny Keele and the Jersey Village Police Department with their certificate of accreditation, recognizing their dedication to the highest standards of law enforcement professionalism.

The department was also recognized with this prestigious honor on Wednesday, April 16, during the TPCAF's annual conference held in Galveston.

The TPCA’s Law Enforcement Agency Best Practices Accreditation Program is considered the gold standard for law enforcement in Texas. This voluntary program requires participating agencies to meet 170 rigorous standards covering all aspects of law enforcement operations—including use of force, protection of citizen rights, vehicle pursuits, property and evidence management, and patrol and investigative operations.

The Jersey Village Police Department spent over a year working to document and demonstrate compliance with these best practices, which were developed by Texas law enforcement professionals and tailored specifically to meet the legal and operational expectations in our state. Achieving accreditation is a clear signal that the department is committed to excellence, accountability, and transparency in public safety.

This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and integrity of the officers and leadership within the department. It reflects a strong commitment to continuous improvement and providing the best possible service to the Jersey Village community.

Please join us in congratulating the Jersey Village Police Department on this significant achievement!
